Parking ParkAdler Parkservice near Munich Airport

ParkAdler Parkservice runs two sites near Munich Airport, and they work quite differently. The outdoor lot in Oberding/Schwaig sits about 5 minutes from the terminals by shuttle; the underground garage in Hallbergmoos is roughly 9 minutes (6.9 km) out. ParkAdler has been in the airport parking business for over 15 years.

Two sites, two systems

At the outdoor site you hand your car over to trained ParkAdler staff, who park it for you and arrange the roughly 150 vehicles on the lot to make the best use of the space. Your key stays behind, stored in a locked safe. There is no height restriction here, which makes this the option for campers, vans and anything carrying a roof box.

The Hallbergmoos garage works the other way round. You drive into a clearly marked indoor space yourself, under staff supervision, and keep your key for the whole trip. If handing over the key is what puts you off valet-style parking, book the garage.

Security and handover

The outdoor lot is fully fenced, and the gate is locked whenever no staff are on site. ParkAdler personnel also run regular patrols and inspections. At drop-off and again at pick-up, the team takes detailed digital photographs of the vehicle and records a digital handover protocol, so the car’s condition is documented on the way in and on the way out rather than argued about later.

Shuttle to the terminals

The shuttle runs daily from 03:30 until the last flight of the day and serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Transfers are individual, arranged on demand rather than on a fixed timetable, which keeps waiting short. Call about 30 minutes before you reach the parking site so the bus is ready when you arrive. On the return, call once you have collected your baggage and the driver will come to the terminal.

The transfer is included for up to 4 passengers per booking. Each additional passenger costs a small surcharge, paid on site.

Booking, payment and cancellation

• Payment online, including PayPal, or directly on site when you arrive
• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled arrival
• Cancellations inside the final 24 hours are charged at 100%

That cut-off deserves a moment of thought. If your travel plans are still shaky the day before departure, waiting too long to cancel costs you the full booking amount.

Luggage and special items

Smaller special luggage such as golf bags can travel on the shuttle if you notify ParkAdler in advance. Bicycles and surfboards are not carried at all, so plan separate transport for those. Staff help with luggage, and waiting areas are available on site.
