Park Drive Fly runs a 180-space parking site at Am Isarkanal 2 in Munich, close to Munich Airport. Travelers can pick between two services: self-parking with a shuttle transfer that reaches the terminals in roughly 10 minutes, or valet parking with vehicle handover directly at the departure terminal. Payment is settled on site, and various payment methods are accepted.
How the shuttle works
Shuttle customers drive straight to Am Isarkanal 2; the route is signposted, so the site is findable without local knowledge. After parking, you hand your keys in at the office and board an air-conditioned shuttle bus to Munich Airport. The ride takes about 10 minutes, and transfers run from 03:30 to 01:00, which covers early check-ins as well as late-evening returns.
The transfer is included for up to four passengers. Groups of five or more should contact Park Drive Fly in advance, as an extra charge may apply.
For the trip home, call the office once you have collected your luggage and the shuttle will come to pick you up.
Valet parking at the terminal
With the valet option you never see the parking lot. Drive to your departure terminal at Munich Airport, where a driver meets you, takes over the car and parks it at the Am Isarkanal 2 site. On your return the car is brought back to you at the terminal. Valet operates daily from 06:30 to 21:30; flights outside that window are better matched with the shuttle, which keeps far longer hours.
Prices, fees and payment
- Shuttle transfer included for up to 4 passengers; larger groups by prior arrangement, extra charges possible
- Vehicles longer than 5 m: additional fee
- Keeping your car keys with you: €20 surcharge
- Payment on site, various payment methods accepted
One detail worth knowing about the key surcharge: the electric charging stations require a key handover, so paying €20 to hold on to your keys rules out charging while you are away.
Vehicle limits and special luggage
- Maximum vehicle height: 2.5 m
- Vehicles over 5 m long are accepted for an extra fee; announce them when booking
- Child strollers and golf equipment travel free of charge
- Other oversized luggage (skis, surfboards, bicycles) has to be dropped off at the airport terminal before you park
A 2.5 m clearance leaves room for most high-roof vans and cars with roof boxes; measure first if you are close to the limit.
Security
The site is fully fenced and gated, monitored by CCTV around the clock and brightly lit. Staff carry out regular vehicle inspections, and keys handed in at the office go into secure storage there.
While you wait
A waiting room with free Wi-Fi and toilets bridges the time until the next shuttle leaves. Beyond that, Park Drive Fly offers a set of free and on-request services:
- Help with loading and unloading luggage
- Free drinks on site
- Child seats on request
- Electric vehicle charging, booked and paid on site (keys must be left)
- Interior vehicle cleaning on request
- Free jump-start if the battery is flat when you get back
Booking and arrival
Spaces should be reserved online in advance. Anything out of the ordinary, such as an oversized vehicle, a group of more than four or bulky sports luggage, needs to be flagged to Park Drive Fly ahead of time. On departure day the routine depends on the service booked: shuttle customers drive to Am Isarkanal 2, valet customers go straight to their terminal. And since the shuttle runs until 01:00, even a badly delayed evening flight still gets you back to your car the same night.
